Your Crew in Turkey
The Minds Behind

At Frame34, precision meets creativity and local expertise. Based in Istanbul and working worldwide, we deliver seamless line production, fixer services, and high-quality content creation for documentaries, commercials, feature films, and more.
With a dynamic, solution-driven approach, we connect ideas, people, and places—turning complex productions into smooth, successful stories.
So, why "Frame34"?
The regional code for Istanbul is 34. In Istanbul, car license plates begin with 34, followed by two or three letters and a number.
34 is THE symbol for Istanbul. Our postal code also begins with 34022.
You could call us “Frame Istanbul,” but we prefer “Frame34.”
Ceyda Kalafatçıoğlu

Ceyda Kalafatcıoğlu is a trained ballet dancer who has a background in the performing arts, media, and event management. After graduating from the Vienna Conservatory, she performed at the Slovak National Theater for four years. An injury then led her back to Istanbul, where she transitioned to television production at Medyapım. She contributed to shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Dancing on Ice. She also organized international festivals and jazz concerts. Currently, she is a partner at Frame34, a producer specializing in entertainment, documentaries, corporate films and advertisements. She draws on her diverse experience and creative vision in her work.
Christian Feiland

Christian "Chris" Feiland is a journalist, director, and DoP—skilled in fast-turnaround reporting but specialized in high-end documentaries, branded content, and international co-productions. With roots in German media since the '90s (Kiss FM Berlin, RTL, Pro7, arte) and decades of hands-on experience in Turkey, he’s the go-to fixer and creative partner when productions demand both vision and local insight.
As co-founder of Frame34, Chris connects international storytelling with local precision—backed by a trusted team and the kind of calm you only get when you've literally had bullets fly overhead (not a metaphor).
His Istanbul roots run deep: his ancestors were watchmakers for the Sultan in 1875. So yes, precision is in the blood—and fluent Turkish in the brain.
Didem Kantoğlu

Didem Kantoğlu doesn’t just produce—she runs the show. With nearly two decades in media and creative production, she’s delivered over 30 major projects at Medyapım and spent 11 years shaping the visual identity of top brands at Morhipo. From fashion shoots to AI-driven campaigns, she turns ideas into impact. Fast. Focused. Always ahead of the curve.
Need the perfect scene? She’s a prop expert with the connections to source anything—from the obscure to the extravagant. If it doesn’t exist, she’ll invent and create it.
Hüseyin Aldemir

Hüseyin Aldemir is a photojournalist based in Istanbul, Turkey.
Born in Istanbul, he graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. In 2013, he started working as a freelance photographer for Reuters, covering breaking news and social issues. Aldemir is a licensed and experienced drone operator. His photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Stern, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The Telegraph, and Paris Match. Aldemir currently lives in Istanbul and continues to work as a freelance visual journalist.
For my research I conduct background discussions on many occasions with Christian Feiland and his Crew, since they have fundamental experience, an excellent network and unbiased knowledge of the region and mentality of the people.
During our co-operation for the WDR (ARD Group) documentation „The Power Of Erdogan – How A President Polarises The People“ in Fall 2016, Frame34 proved once again, that all those those qualities are self-explanatory for them.
Ciğdem Akyol
Journalist & Book Author
For me, as a freelance author and producer for Swiss television SRF, the duo Ceyda Kalafatçıoğlu and Christian Feiland were a stroke of luck.
Christian remained good-humoured throughout the spontaneous, dynamic planning and limited production resources of my documentary shoot in Istanbul. They were both extremely flexible and equally persistent during the extremely long production day.
Christian's camerawork, journalistic insight and, above all, his role as a cultural mediator in Turkish society were extremely valuable! I would like to thank them once again for their excellent collaboration.
Fabian Biasio
Multimedia Producer & Director
I can only warmly recommend working with Frame34. They are an extremely professional and friendly team in all circumstances, whether it's during the fixing and preparation stages or during filming. I've called on them for assignments in very specialized fields, and they've been a success! I already know that I'll be calling on Ceyda and Chris again without hesitation for my next shoots in Turkey.
Virginie Plaut
Journalist & Filmmaker
Due to the outstanding work of Christian Feiland and Frame34 we successfully filmed stunning TV footage of human trafficking along Turkey’s Aegean coast during the height of the refugee crisis in the Fall of 2015. Chris was instrumental in our receiving the 2016 German Television Award (Deutscher Fernsehpreis) in the “best reporting” category for our 45min film. Thank you very much for that!
Helmar Büchel
Director
We booked Christian Feiland, gear and production support on a Paramount Picture special anniversary Re-release for Pete Weir’s film, „Gallipoli“ with Mel Gibson. From beginning to end they did a great job and I look forward to hiring them over and over again.
Jay Schlossberger
Producer
Frame34 has been an invaluable partner for us, supporting our development of AP Live Community from its concept to fully functioning online platform. Extremely professional, highly communicative and full of ideas…. Frame34 is exactly the type of skilled production company which we warmly welcome into our growing Community, offering expert crewing and 3G/4G LiveU transmission services on location. We are delighted to distinguish Christian and his team as ‘AP Approved’.
Tobi Goode

The trip to southeast Anatolia following the trace of an alleged murderer was an adventure. Other crews rejected the job; colleagues warned me. But Feiland's reaction was: „We will do it!“
I felt uneasy when I exited the plane in Istanbul, but my confidence grew quickly. My „Turkish crew“ started their work in a thoughtful, committed and professional manner. The two of them were quite daring when dealing with officials in the southeast, during a confrontation with the governer's bureau and when encountering plain clothes police officers and gendarmerie while driving through impassable mountain roads. At the end of the day I had all the footage I needed despite no official filming permission. Even though the assignment was risky, I always felt secure and well guided – in addition to being in very pleasant company. My film received the first „Mainzer Journalist“ Award. My Feiland Crew has its not unimportant share in the film's success.
Ulricke Eichin
ZDF Journalist
To me, Christian Feiland is – especially for delicate projects – a rare stroke of luck, reminiscent of the rare virtues of the legendary BBC- cameramen: a well-informed journalist who is quick to react while at the same time competently handling his camera. Christian had a major part in the production of a 52 min. documentary film for arte “Bevölkert mit Kämpfern und Träumern”, a highly complicated production due to its adventurous journey into the sometimes turbulent southeast of the country, which was produced for the „Frankfurt Book Fair 2008“ with Turkey as a guest of honor.
Tilman Jens †
Book Author, Director
Ceyda and Christian (Frame34) have been of priceless value for our investigations in Istanbul. Their equipment is state of the science and their network very much up to date. Besides all professionalism, it is great fun to work with them and regarding any future project in Turkey we definitely will work with Frame34 again.
